Coat
Double Rex: Also called “mock hairless.” Patches of furred areas and bald areas. Short, tightly curled whiskers.
Hairless: As hairless as possible with bright, healthy skin that is soft to the touch. Some short fuzz above the eyes, at the ankles and wrists, on the whiskerbed, and pubic arears. The ears should appear larger than the classic-typed rat.
Rex: Evenly dense and curly coat, the belly may be less curly. The coat has less shine than a standard coat, but it should not look dull. Coat texture should be coarser than standard coat type but should not be excessively brittle or rouch. Curled whiskers that are somewhat shorter than standard rats.
Satin: The coat should be smooth and glossy. The bucks typically have a coarser coat.
Velvet: Coat remains very thick. If brushed back, it will stay back rather than fall into place.
