The Start
After having every sort of animal while I was younger (including a couple rats, though I wasn’t the main caretaker) I came across a gorgeous dumbo female at a pet store one day when I was 13. I was originally told she was a male so I named her Otis… after a few weeks and after doing some more research I quickly realized otherwise. While doing this research I read that rats need other rats, so after convincing my mom (easy-peasy!) and then step-dad (not so much), I got another rat that I named Pumpkin Mae. My mom couldn’t resist her pretty blue rex coat and started calling her Fuzz-Butt. Pumpkin became sick and passed, but Otis is still going strong at 2 years old.

My name is Emily and I’m a highschool student that has devoted my life, money, and room to my rats and regret nothing. They are the best friends anybody could ever have and I love each one dearly, they are not only my pets but my babies. After having an accidental litter and doing hours upon hours of research over summer vacation, I’ve started a small rattery with the help of my mom.

Goal
Our goal is to breed healthy and friendly rats and to improve with each generation. In our eyes, health and temperament is over appearance though we hope to widen our variety of colors soon. At the moment we breed dumbos and standards in agouti, black, and beige, in the future we hope to have hairless and rex.
